and a loud mouth like a proud hound (or beagle)
we fly high and wide eye'd
like owls or eagles
I don't know
who in the hell kept trying to call me
because i didnt have
caller ID
im dialing your number
on my Rotary phone (ring ring ring)
and tuning my guitar to the dial tone.
Ive got a heart like a book of burnt up
matches
from a sweetheart that drinks while she dances
she had eyes like fine china
and would only eat at her least
her least favorite diner
i don't recall if her dress was blue or green (turquoise)
cause i did'nt have
color tv
im dialing her number on my rotary phone
tuning my guitar to the dial tone.
